Fundamentals

Bitcoin is the first and largest cryptocurrency, launched in 2009 by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. It runs on a proof-of-work blockchain and is designed to be a scarce, decentralized form of digital money with a fixed supply capped at 21 million coins.
